SINCE 2014Loomlight is born
Loomlight began with a simple passion: to repurpose first-class industrial lighting for everyday use. What started as a fascination with brilliantly engineered vintage fixtures soon evolved into a mission to preserve them—restored to full working order for modern interiors and outdoor spaces.
SINCE 2016Bespoke manufacturing evolves
As a natural evolution of our restoration work—and in response to growing demand and varied client requests—we began to expand beyond restoration alone. By 2016, we began introducing specialist machinery into our workshop, boosting our in-house capacity and productivity. This allowed us to start designing and manufacturing bespoke parts, enabling sympathetic customisation of original industrial fixtures and meeting the unique needs of our clients.
SINCE 2020A.C.GMT.Co Clocks
Our interest in marine clocks has been part of Loomlight’s story since the beginning. By 2020, we had developed our own brand and range of clocks under the name A.C.GMT.Co. Each clock created by taking an original salvaged marine case, restoring it with fresh paint finishes, newly designed dials, and precision clock movements - complete with our brand stamp. These reimagined classics blend maritime history with contemporary style - keeping time in modern spaces.
SINCE 2022New lighting designs come to life
With growing manufacturing capabilities we took the next step: we spent two years doing research and development for a range of new lights and by 2024 we had launched our own range of lighting. Built with respect for the originals, our new designs preserve timeless form streamlined for contemporary interiors, while meeting high standards of quality and performance.
SINCE 2023Beyond lighting: Antique binoculars
Our love of engineering craftsmanship didn’t stop at lighting. In 2023, we expanded into sourcing, restoring, and selling large antique marine and military binoculars - precision instruments built to last and admired by collectors, designers, and explorers worldwide.
SINCE 2025A New Chapter with Skinflint
In 2025, Loomlight acquired the Skinflint brand and its treasure trove of vintage industrial lights. Now reintroduced as the Skinflint Lighting Collection, this collection carries forward a legacy of British restoration and storytelling—proudly offered exclusively through Loomlight.

Brings a background in interior design project management and marketing. She leads our e-commerce and brand presentation, ensuring every product is showcased with creativity and authenticity. Her eye for design and storytelling helps connect each restored piece with its next home.
