Lamp of the week!

The Bayonet Chandelier - Built using hardware from the Napoleonic war!

A very unusual restoration project...

Each arm of this chandelier was made using the bayonet blades from the Napolean army inventory.

The bayonet end of the blade has been cut and mounted and house the lampholders.

All the hardware is serial numbered.

Loomlight Design have rewired and fitted heat proof appliance bulbs and an Edison lamp centered on the domed hub.

All wiring is sleeved with a green nylon braid, a white flex was fitted with plug to allow the lamp to be hung on a wall and plugged in to a local socket.

This weeks retro-fit...

Flame Proof Strip Light adapted to wall fitting.

2 x 10w Philips LED tubes.

Polished Aluminium finish.

Re-cleimed from old Super tankers and Nato vessels. These lights would have previously lit the engine rooms and passage ways below deck.

Awesome industrial fitting!
