DESCRIPTION
These robust 1950's industrial Flameproof cage pendant lights by Walsall were salvaged from a steelworks in the industrial heartland of the Midlands.
Walsall were a renowned British producer of explosion-proof and safety-rated lighting for hazardous environments throughout the mid-20th century. Their rugged construction and distinctive detailing reflect Britain’s post-war engineering boom, when Walsall luminaires were widely deployed across factories, refineries and heavy-industry sites.
Each pendant features a finned white powder-coated gallery, designed to dissipate heat, paired with its original clear flameproof glass well encased in a black powder-coated steel cage. The proportions create a striking industrial silhouette, while the embossed manufacturer’s markings confirm their provenance and authenticity.
Now sensitively restored, these lights retain their heritage character yet are fully upgraded for modern interiors. Perfect for hospitality settings, kitchen islands, restaurants, and architectural projects seeking genuine British industrial lighting with sculptural presence.
Rewired with CE certified or UL listed electrical components and supplied with a ceiling hanging kit which allows for 100cm drop length from ceiling to base of the light fixture. If you require additional drop length please get in touch.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
