Featuring a beautifully hand-blown teardrop glass shade, each pendant showcases the classic milky-white translucence of opaline glass, designed to provide a smooth, even distribution of illumination.
These pendants feature their original Bakelite cover — a pioneering, non-conductive, heat-resistant, and highly durable material first developed in the USA in 1907. Celebrated as a hallmark of early 20th-century industrial design, Bakelite reflects the innovation and craftsmanship of the era. Paired with their short stem hook stanchions, these lights showcase authentic mid-century detailing and timeless style. Perfectly proportioned for hallways, kitchens, stairwells, and other circulation areas, they cast a warm, diffused glow that complements both period interiors and modern spaces alike.
Each opaline pendant light is supplied with a matching ceiling rose and hook, approximately 1 metre of hanging chain, and black braided cable as standard, making installation straightforward and stylish. Light bulbs are sold separately, allowing you to customise the brightness and colour temperature to suit your space.
Every pendant has been carefully sourced and restored to meet modern British safety standards while preserving its original charm, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate heritage lighting with lasting quality.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
