DESCRIPTION
A vintage caged wall strip light, originally manufactured by Aqua Signal of Germany — a renowned maker of marine and explosion-proof lighting since the early 20th century. Designed to withstand the harsh conditions of industrial ships and offshore environments, these robust flameproof fixtures were built for performance, reliability, and safety at sea.
Now professionally restored by hand in the UK by Loomlight, each light has been transformed for modern interiors while retaining its authentic industrial character. Crafted from cast aluminium and encased in a protective flameproof glass tube with a steel safety cage, these fittings embody the precision engineering of Aqua Signal’s maritime heritage.
Fitted with energy-efficient T8 LED tubes and supplied with a braided cable, each piece blends industrial craftsmanship with modern lighting technology. Original serial numbers and maker’s marks remain visible throughout, celebrating the fixture’s working past and ensuring its authenticity.
Every light is rewired in-house by Loomlight to exceed British Standards, using CE-approved components, and comes with a 12-month warranty for peace of mind. Dimensions and weights are approximate.
For orders to the USA, fittings are supplied with UL-listed bulb holders, 100V wiring, and compatible LED tubes. Each light is sold ready for installation in residential or commercial settings.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.
For further information about import duty & tax to your country, please check the courier website. We are unable to calculate the import tax on your behalf.
RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
