DESCRIPTION
A mid-century floor lamp that was originally used as professional studio lights in 1940s Hungary. These impressive floor lamps were designed for early photographic and film production during a turbulent era in Europe’s history. Manufactured in a period when Hungarian industry was rapidly adapting to wartime and post-war demands, these lights were engineered for reliability, strong illumination and precise adjustability.
Each piece features a large spun-aluminium reflector, creating a broad, even wash of light ideal for photography, while the perforated rear gallery provides essential heat ventilation for long studio sessions. The articulated steel cradle and ball-joint mechanism allow the shades to be fully adjustable, a hallmark of early industrial lighting design.
Retaining their original tripod bases, adjustable height columns and distinctive mechanical fittings, these lights carry an authentic patina that reflects decades of use. Now sensitively restored, they feature a brushed aluminium finish and updated electrics, making them ready for contemporary interiors.
Striking as sculptural statement pieces in homes, studios, retail spaces or galleries, they offer a rare opportunity to own true mid-century Hungarian industrial design with photographic heritage.
The shade is 600mm diameter. It is rewired with new CE certified or UL listed electrical components. The braided cable is fitted with a UK plug and an on/off flicker switch.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
