The tripod built by Fortners Machine Shop Inc. is a trusted name in military-grade hardware manufacturing. A U.S. Army “fire-control” tripod finished in authentic army green paint, falls under “Fire Control Designating and Indicating Equipment,” meaning it was designed to carry optical or electronic aiming and ranging instruments (e.g. rangefinders, panoramic telescopes, fire-control sights) in the field.

Stenciled “Overhauled Tobyhanna Army Depot Date 6 10,” means it received depot-level maintenance at Tobyhanna (PA) in June 2010.

One leg is labeled “DOWNHILL LEG” so that, when deploying on sloping terrain, the crew can orient the instrument properly to maintain level alignment.

The searchlight has been expertly modified to integrate seamlessly with the tripod, secured by three brass thumb screws for stability and functionality. The searchlight can be tilted up or down, providing directional lighting. A cast brass Wiska rotary marine isolator switch provides a reliable and straightforward mechanism for operating the lamp.
Equipped with an XXL Calex Paris E27 or E26 flexible filament bulb, this lamp delivers a warm, controlled glow that complements its mechanical aesthetic.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
