DESCRIPTION
1950s British Industrial Linear Pendant Lights by G.E.C with the original cream paint colour coating the aluminium housing. Originally manufactured in the early post-war boom of 1950s Britain, these rare linear pendants were produced by G.E.C (General Electric Company)—one of the UK’s most influential electrical engineering giants. Salvaged from a former factory in London’s East End, each light has been painstakingly restored while retaining its unmistakable industrial character.
The cast-aluminium end housings display original manufacturer’s markings, including the embossed “G.E.C – Made in England”, a detail increasingly sought after by collectors of mid-century British industrial design. A powder-coated steel rod connects the two housings, while a clear glass tube creates a clean, uninterrupted linear silhouette—equally suited to contemporary interiors or loft-style commercial spaces.
Now converted for efficient LED use, these pendants deliver a crisp, modern illumination while preserving the functional minimalism of their original factory purpose. Perfect for kitchens, studios, workspaces, long counters, and design-led commercial environments.

Import Duty & Tax

The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
