DESCRIPTION
Starting life in 1960s Britain, this original Thorlux green enamel pendant light once illuminated an engineering works in Stoke-on-Trent. Featuring its distinctive vented gallery, the design allows a subtle element of uplighting while providing strong directional down lighting — ideal for kitchen islands, dining spaces, or bar areas.
Thorlux, founded in 1936 by Frederick William Thorpe in Birmingham, is one of Britain’s most respected names in industrial and architectural lighting. The company supplied thousands of fixtures to factories, workshops, and public buildings during the mid-20th century, renowned for their precision engineering, durable vitreous enamel finishes, and innovative ventilation designs. Many Thorlux fittings from this period remain in service today, a testament to their quality and robust construction.
This example has been carefully restored while preserving its original character and glossy green vitreous enamel finish. The interior retains its white enamel reflector for maximum light output, and the vented top has been sympathetically refurbished to highlight its utilitarian detailing. Supplied read to install with a ceiling hanging kit. Only one available!

Import Duty & Tax

The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
