DESCRIPTION
This small vintage glass and copper pendant light once illuminated a grand residential apartment in 1960s Prague, former Czechoslovakia. It features the original copper-plated gallery paired with a contrasting moulded glass shade, characteristic of mid-century Czech design.
The textured glass, with its bubbled relief pattern, was likely produced by the Sklo Union glassworks — a collective of Bohemian factories renowned for their innovative pressed and moulded glass techniques. During this period, Sklo Union collaborated with leading Czech designers to create sculptural glass forms that combined artistry with functionality, many of which were used in architectural and lighting applications.
The result is a beautifully crafted ceiling light that diffuses light softly through its intricate surface while providing a warm downlight from its open base. Perfect as a feature light in smaller areas.
An elegant example of 1960s Eastern European craftsmanship, this pendant captures the sculptural forms and material contrast typical of the era’s modernist aesthetic.

Import Duty & Tax

The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
