DESCRIPTION
These striking vintage pendant lights were manufactured in the 1950s by AKA Electrics in Arnstadt, East Germany (DDR) during the politically tense Cold War era. Originally produced under the state-run umbrella company for the Eastern Bloc, these industrial lights are a rare example of mid-century German engineering and design.
The conical shades are formed from a unique phenolic resin composite (similar to Bakelite), giving them a rich marbled texture and exceptional durability. Each light features its original Bakelite gallery, integrated hanging hook, and manufacturer’s label, retaining its authentic Eastern Bloc character.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
