DESCRIPTION
These salvaged black conical pendant lights were manufactured by NARVA in East Germany during the mid-20th century. Originally designed as infrared heat lamp reflectors for industrial and agricultural use, each fixture is constructed from a mottled Bakelite renowned for its strength, heat resistance, and distinctive textured finish.
With their bold, angular cone form and deep black surface, these ceiling lights embody the utilitarian aesthetic of Cold War–era design. The industrial character is enhanced by subtle mottling and original manufacturer’s plates, making each piece a genuine relic of Eastern Bloc industrial design.
Now re-wired for modern interiors, these unique lights work beautifully as feature pendants above kitchen counters, bars, or dining spaces, where their sculptural silhouette and heritage patina can be fully appreciated.
Sustainable and authentic, they keep a piece of 20th-century industrial history in circulation while adding dramatic vintage style to contemporary interiors.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
