DESCRIPTION
'The Wigan' is no generic bulkhead light but a specialist cast aluminium industrial wall fixture, originally made by Heyes & Co Ltd of Wigan, Lancashire, England. Heyes were renowned for explosion-proof industrial fittings, and “The Wigan” shows up in their catalogs as a heavy cast metal bulkhead designed for harsh environments—chemical plants, power stations and ship lighting.
The multiple patent markings confirm its flame-proof credentials; Heyes secured those patents to guarantee a dust- and vapour-tight enclosure, vital where combustible gases or powders were handled.
Examples have been reclaimed worldwide from decommissioned ships, hospitals, chemical works and power stations, but the brand’s origins lie in Wigan’s industrial heyday. After decades “in the field,” these cast-aluminium bodies and prismatic lenses are now prized for their authentic industrial charm and robust build.
All lights are professionally restored and re-wired in-house to exceed British Standards using CE approved components. Dimensions and weights are approximate. For all orders to USA, UL listed components will be fitted. All lights are sold ready for use in your home or commercial installation.

Import Duty & Tax
Please note that orders delivered outside of the UK will be subject to custom import & duties. All imported commercial goods are subject to customs duties and taxes based on their HS Code tariff classification.
The importer/customer is responsible for paying the duty & tax. Loomlight are not responsible for these costs. We use DHL or FedEx for worldwide deliveries and they require payment of this tax before they can deliver your order.

RETURNS
Returns
If you wish to return a product, please let us know within 14 days of delivery at hello@loomlightdesign.com and we shall organise that with you. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged so that we can resolve the matter.
For a refund, items must be unused, returned in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. We will refund the product price only, once we have fully processed the return. Return shipping is at the cost of the customer.
